Memory and meaning

The purpose of remembering the past
The purpose of remembering the past

Dr. Kevin Flatt, associate professor of history and the Director of Research at Redeemer, has published an article in Comment, the magazine of the Christian think-tank Cardus, that explores the purpose of remembering the past in an age that is more interested in looking forward than looking back.

In the article, he describes what the study of history can and cannot do, and the importance of looking outside the discipline to discover the true meaning and purpose of history.
