September always reminds me of new beginnings. There is a lot of focus on January being a fresh start, but, growing up in a household of teachers, September always felt more of a start, I suppose.
Another academic year begins for the students at Redeemer University College, and I can’t help but wonder if they have the same feelings I did when I moved into dorm 35 all those years ago. There were nerves, a couple tears and a fair amount of excitement.
I would encourage all of you to pray for the new incoming class at Redeemer, the returning students, as well as the staff and faculty.
As the Alumni Association, we are proud to honour Hank de Jong as the Distinguished Alumni Award winner this year. His work at EduDeo Ministries and in his community is formidable and he continues to shine the light of Christ.
