Dr. Justin Cooper has announced to the Board of Governors that he will not be seeking a fourth term as President of Redeemer University. Dr. Cooper, who has been with Redeemer even before the institution’s inception in 1980, will step down when his current term concludes on June 30, 2010. By that time, he will have served Redeemer for 30 years, including the last 16 as President. Since Dr. Cooper’s announcement last October, the Board of Governors has been active in developing a search process to find a successor to Dr. Cooper. A succession review committee helped identify the characteristics that will be sought in future administrators, a Search Committee has been struck and an Opportunity Profile has been developed that provides information about the position and institution.
