I grew up in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. I left home because I’ve always wanted to study abroad to have an opportunity to reinvent myself outside my comfort zone.
Major
I am currently taking a bachelor of science, majoring in kinesiology with a minor in biology.
Stimulating Subject Matter
Redeemer has taught me the importance of having a community of like-minded individuals. You become who you surround yourself with. Campus is filled with great people who care for each other, growing as one body.
Unique You
What makes me unique is my ability to appreciate life and its experiences from a variety of angles. I want to be involved in anything and everything, which sometimes leads to being overstretched, but over the years I have managed to balance my priorities and stay within my limits.
Faith Moment
My faith is meaningful to me right now. Christ has transformed and renewed my life, and continues to do so daily. Having Jesus means that I have peace forever and every challenge that I face draws me one step closer to being who he wants me to be in him. It gets hard when you are far from home and always worrying about grades, money, friends and family issues, etc. It becomes easy to attempt to solve these problems the way the world tells you to solve these problems. God has delivered me from these temporary fixes and granted me a permanent solution.
In Conversation With Christ
When I see Jesus face to face, I’d like to ask him, “Why me? Why would a perfect being sacrifice himself for a disobedient sinner like me? What kind of love is this?”
Redeemer Love
I particularly enjoy seeing fellow classmates working around campus. I don’t know what it is, but the sight of seeing a friend serve you is humbling. I picture a perfect society where everyone is equal, all jobs are valued and everyone serves to better the greater good.
