I was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados.
I am studying digital media and production here at Redeemer. This is my second year.
Honestly, the most interesting thing I have learned at Redeemer is the conversations and different thoughts of philosophers in history. Their viewpoints and beliefs are captivating, even when I do not agree with them.
I wouldn’t say this is unique about me per se, but I think God has blessed me with the gifts of peace and having patience and calmness amidst troubles and in any situation. I love to reference Ephesians 4:1-6 in this regard. I love the entire chapter in general.
My faith was particularly meaningful to me over the summer, when I had a conversation with someone I was working with about my faith. They were of another faith, and this encounter forced me to answer the question of why I believe in Christ. I was able to relay that to this coworker, and it encouraged me to delve deeper into my faith and Scripture in order to continue adding to my spiritual well being. In turn, this will help me fulfill my duty as a Christian to spread the Gospel of Christ.
As an international student entering into a new culture, I have found the community at Redeemer so refreshing and joyful. I honestly feel honoured to be a part of it.
When I meet Jesus face to face, I would like to ask him about the stars, the cosmos and cool information about the universe that we as humans could probably never know in our current state.
My favourite thing about Redeemer is the community. It’s a cliche answer, I know, but that is probably the case because its positive impact on students’ lives is indeed widely felt. As an international student entering into a new culture, I have found the community at Redeemer so refreshing and joyful. I honestly feel honoured to be a part of it.
