Dr. Sharon Klassen, Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts, will present on “Staging Forgiveness: Grace and Reconciliation in Modern and Contemporary Drama.” This is an event for faculty, staff, students and guests.
Theatre has a unique and important place among the arts in working towards shalom. Reading or seeing plays by Oscar Wilde, Athol Fugard, Drew Hayden Taylor, Sarah Ruhl, Guillermo Calderon and Ins Choi not only encourages us to hear the voice of the other and love our neighbour but also teaches us valuable lessons about confronting injustice, forgiving deeply and speaking hard truths.
