About
When Thomas Froese isn’t teaching fiction he’s wearing his other hat as a newspaper columnist. He’s written hundreds of columns on news, travel and life, particularly for the Hamilton Spectator, and has been honoured often for his work. For 15 years he lived in the Middle East and East Africa, where he also taught Literature. He’s an Alumnus of the MFA program of Seattle Pacific University, and his book is Ninety-Nine Windows: Reflections of a Reporter from Arabia to Africa and Other Roads Less Travelled. A guest speaker at various writing gatherings, he was especially happy to be a keynote at Storymakers’ Symposium, the 70th anniversary celebration of the Christian Courier, held at RU. Among Thomas’ writing heroes is Frederick Buechner, who he’ll read to anyone who will listen, including his wife, Jean, their three teens, or the family dog, Grace. Find him at www.thomasfroese.com.
