Ethnomusicological study of select music cultures of the Orient, the Near East, Africa, and the Americas, with a focus on their various musical styles and the roles of music in these cultures. Field trips are required.
On their first day of class, students in Dr. Ridhwan Olaoke’s Introduction to Business class were each given a dollar with the option to keep it or pool together with their classmates to purchase a goat through World Renew, supporting business development in developing countries. Some chose to give more, and together, they raised enough to provide not just one but two goats. A small gesture with a big impact!
