New Horizons is a day at Redeemer for the young-at-heart!

Hear an engaging presentation by Dr. Ben Faber, enjoy a delicious hot lunch and be entertained by student musicians. A closing reception allows time to connect with grandchildren or other Redeemer students you may know.

Registration opens at 9 a.m and the day’s program begins at 10 a.m.

Highlights

  • Morning program: The Core Curriculum at the Heart of Redeemer
Dr. Ben Faber, assistant professor of English, will present on the renewed Core curriculum. Now in its fourth year, the Core curriculum is an integrated set of courses that every student takes. As part of a university education in the Reformed Christian tradition, Redeemer’s Core provides students with an understanding of God’s unfolding story of redemption in human history and explores the need for God’s message of shalom, locally and globally. This presentation will tell the story of how and why the new Core program became the centrepiece of Redeemer’s mission for our students.
