About

Kim DeJong brings a variety of experiences to Redeemer University. She is a former high school teacher, foster parent, and pastor’s wife. In her social work career, Kim has worked in family services and mental health counseling, with an emphasis on supporting teens and young adults, particularly in high school and university settings. Kim enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience through workshops for students and educators. These workshops focus on student mental health and fostering resilience in the classroom.

In her role as the Manager of Field Education at Redeemer University, Kim is enthusiastic about combining her unique blend of experiences and skills to support students during their internships and foster connections within the community. She is excited to offer guidance to students, helping them gain the practical skills and knowledge necessary to make a meaningful impact in the field of applied social sciences and social work.
