About

Victoria Siltamaki joined Redeemer as the Chemistry Laboratory Instructor in 2023. She completed her undergraduate degree in the Biochemistry co-op stream at the University of Guelph, with a particular interest in organic chemistry and microbiology. Recently, she completed a Master of Science degree, also at the University of Guelph, studying antimicrobial resistance mechanisms in the ESKAPE pathogen P. aeruginosa. Throughout her education, Victoria has developed a passion for teaching in the life sciences, both in hands-on lab teaching and mentoring undergraduate students in pursuit of a career in research. Aside from teaching, she enjoys traveling, gardening and interior design.
