Frequently Asked Questions about Graduation

How do graduation tickets work?

Only ticket-holders will be admitted to the Graduation ceremony. In March, each graduate will be issued four tickets for the auditorium via intercampus mail boxes or at their home (for those off campus). Additional tickets can be requested by the graduating student and are provided based on availability.

What time should I arrive?

The auditorium doors will open at 10am for all ticket-holders.  The ceremony will start promptly at 11am.

Where should I meet my graduate after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, all graduates, faculty and guests will gather in the front quad (weather permitting) for a reception including hors d’oeuvres, cake and beverages.

Is the ceremony photographed or videotaped?

The ceremony is photographed by a professional photography company. The ceremony is also video recorded. DVD’s can be purchased by completing the online order form below. Each graduate will have a photo taken while being hooded. We will send a copy of their hooding photo by email a few weeks after the ceremony.

Are cameras and video recorders allowed at the Convocation ceremony?

Yes! We welcome you to bring along a camera or video recorder and capture this special day.

Is there a lost and found for items lost during Convocation?

Items lost during Convocation can be picked up at the Security office on campus.

Does Redeemer offer university-specific graduation gifts?

We do! Flowers and t-shirts are available for purchase online ahead of graduation and in-person the day of. Grad rings and frames for degrees are available for purchase at the Redeemer Bookstore.
