Redeemer’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Overview
Are you interested in working in the high-demand field of Health Sciences? Our New! Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree program is designed to provide a solid academic foundation and applied knowledge to help you serve others in health care and health/wellness-related industries.

Introducing…Redeemer’s Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc)  in Health Sciences degree, that highlights the biological, environmental, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects of health and well-being.  Redeemer’s program is ideal for students who want to pursue a career in health sciences, and is designed to prepare students to be successful in their chosen health-related field.

Given the ever-increasing demand for health care professionals in what some consider to be a recession-proof, high growth industry well into the next decade, Redeemer is poised to help equip students to serve their communities in meeting this demand.

Coming September 2012, Redeemer University College will be launching its new multidisciplinary health sciences program, aimed at students who want to be at the forefront of one of North America’s fastest growing (service) industries.

Why Study Health Sciences at Redeemer?

Because a Bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement for entry-level positions in the field of health sciences, Redeemer’s Christian perspective and worldview, multidisciplinary approach, well-equipped labs, smaller class-sizes, and off-campus learning opportunities will put you on the right track towards being able to serve in this industry.

The program builds on Redeemer’s strength in the liberal arts and sciences, and takes a holistic approach to the study of health, wellness, and disease in human communities.

In addition to coverage of traditional health-related topics and issues, this Honours Bachelor of Science degree will equip you with skills in critical thinking and discernment, research design, data collection and analysis, and logical reasoning.

This program is excellent preparation for many health-related professional programs and graduate programs in the health sciences.  As well, the program will prepare you for positions in the field of health sciences and health research.

As a student in the health sciences, you will be eligible for a variety of financial awards (scholarships and bursaries) as well as internship and off-campus learning opportunities.
